I’m 59 (gulp) years old, married to David for almost 27 years. We have 2 grown kids, Josh and Rachel. Josh once told us when he was little “I will move out when y’all die” and he’s held true to his word, still lives at home!! We knew Rachel would be the first to leave the nest. She’s a highly independent person and was always a strong-willed child.  Josh is more “go-with-the-flow” and actually enjoys his parents!

My parents both passed away in 2016. I have one sister, who is my best friend in the world. We have one brother, and he’s cool, but ya’ know, he’s the middle child and he’s a dude, so he’s nowhere near as cool as us!! Hahahaha

I’ve been a nurse for freaking ever, well over half of my life. Strictly maternal-child nursing. I love to cook and bake. Feeding people is my love language to them. I love reading, and in my dotage I’ve gravitated more to romance novels. In my earlier years I would read Anne Rice, Stephen King, and Tom Clancy. We enjoy binge watching series, and are currently in the middle of Lawmen: Bass Reeves. I love watching sports on TV, but I prefer watching baseball and hockey in person. My house always has the “lived in look”, aka I’m not the world’s best housekeeper. There’s way too many other things I’d rather do!!

David and I had a momentary break in both of our sanities and got 2 (yes 2!) labradoodle puppies in October. They told us they were minis. They lied to us!!! So far (at 6.5 months) Mocha is 37.5 pounds and Coco is 40!! They’re beautiful and dorky and definitely giving us a run for our money.

What were we thinking??
